Senior security officer shot in Gaza

A senior security official loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been shot and wounded by masked gunmen.

Officials identified the wounded man as Hassan Jarboo, an officer in the preventive security service.

Witnesses said two other people, including a seven-year-old girl, were also wounded when the gunmen opened fire in the Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip.

Tensions have been high in Gaza after Abbas called for early Palestinian elections, a move the ruling Hamas faction called a "coup".

Security forces have started to search the area for the gunmen.

Note my title. This is the sort of spin it would have got if Israel has been the one shooting. The girls seems to have been forgotten in what is basically a political article.
