"Terrible witness," indeed. Clearly, what they are "seeking" is the destruction of Israel.

Besides, well-established olive trees are almost impossible to destroy. Even when they are completely burned by fire, their roots produce new shoots (though it may take some time). And from reading Danby's translation of The Mishnah, I know that Judaism places a special value on the olive tree. It is not a plant that Jews would destroy, because it occupies a place of particular respect.

lizI didn't know olive trees were that tough. Maybe the information needs to be more widely circulated as an antidote to this particular bit of Palestinian propaganda.

Do you know any good sites about olive trees which include information like that?
