Where's Father Ted when you need him?

First, read this fine article, which exposes the double standards applied to the Jewish State by comparing international responses to Israel and Pakistan.

Next, go to the following article. (Sit well back from the screen, or you might be hit in the face by the scalding steam of hatred and prejudice which comes hissing out of it.)

Gaza strip a "large prison": Irish bishops.

Now apply what you learned from the first article.

In a statement issued ahead of a meeting with the country's foreign minister, Irish bishops have slammed systematic large-scale abuse of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories and called into questions Ireland's commercial ties with Israel.

The Irish Bishops think the comfort and ease with which Christian Arabs can go to Mass in Bethlehem and Jerusalem is more important than saving Israeli lives, which are of negligible importance to their Lordships.

They also describe the Palestinians as the 'indigenous people' - a racist term if you used it in, say, England. It also ignores the continuous presence of Jews in Israel for thousands of years, and denies the historical link of Jews to Israel in favour of a group of Arabs, many of whom immigrated into the country during the last century.
